We are calling out for our new Management Accountant to manage all internal finance and accounting functions including monthly board reports, budget preparation & approval, management of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll functions, preparation of timely monthly reports and forecasts; Completion of annual financial statements and liaison with external advisors, development of internal controls & policies, and systems development and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities (a.k.a what you can expect to do on a day-to-day basis)
Developing financial strategy in accordance with stakeholders.
Management of all accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll.
Cash flow management.
Preparation of annual budget and forecast information.
Preparation of timely financial reporting and analysis, as required.
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, ensuring compliance with NZ statutory law, tax and financial reporting regulations.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Profile (a.k.a requirements to be successful in the role)
Well-developed leadership and team building skills.
Highly effective communication skills.
Experience in all aspects of accounting operations and functions.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience in preparation and completion of monthly reporting financial information, and annual financial reporting requirements.
Strong management of 3rd party advisors including Accountants, Auditors, Lawyers and Property Managers.
Excellent systems and administration skills.
